Robert "Bob" Fish Jr.
Robert “Bob” Fish Jr., 67, of Bucktooth Run, Little Valley, NY died unexpectedly early Monday morning, January 24, 2022 at Buffalo General Hospital.
Born November 23, 1954 in Ithaca, NY, he was the son of the late Robert L. Sr. and Jessie Beals Fish. He was married in Bucktooth Run on August 24, 1996 to the former Shelley Raub, who survives.
Bob was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1972.
Along with his wife, he owned and operated the Plaza Restaurant for over 40 years and will be remembered as one of the most efficient short-order cooks in the region.
Bob loved his family, their pets, the hours he spent in his garage, and being outdoors. He had a love for classic cars and John Wayne movies. His passion was in the family business, where he worked since his dad opened in 1965.
Surviving besides his wife are: a son, Robert (Julia Talhelm) Magiera II, Indianapolis, IN; a daughter, Danyle (Sonny Cafferky) Magiera, Astoria, OR; two brothers, Daniel (Brenda) Fish, Louis (Dawn) Fish, both of Salamanca, NY; grandson, Brantley Cafferky; several nieces and nephews, including special niece Kaylee Milks, whom he considered his own. He is also survived by many additional close friends.
He was predeceased by his best friend, Charles “Woody” Woodin.
There will be no visitation.
A graveside service will be held in Crawford Cemetery, Salamanca, NY on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 11 a.m.
