Robert Burlin

Robert G. Burlin, age 76, of 517 East State Street, Salamanca, New York died Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Buffalo General Hospital, Buffalo, New York following a long illness.

Born on December 12, 1935 in Salamanca, New York he was the son of the late Lee and Isabell John Burlin. He was married on October 29, 1955 in the Holy Cross Church to the former Sharon Raines.

Mr. Burlin was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving from 1954 to 1968.

He was employed as a Supervisor for Argonaut Supreme Commercial Building retiring in 2009.

Mr. Burlin was a member of the Moose Lodge #1002, American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post #535, and the Veterans of foreign Wars John F. Ahrens Post #5296.

Surviving are: 6 children, Robert F. Burlin, California, Theresa A. Burlin, Salamanca, New York, Mark (Theresia) Burlin, LaPlace, LA, Michael D. (Ronda) Burlin, Salamanca, New York, Tina (Russell) Sansbury, Gonzales, LA, Michelle Oxmann, Dundalk, MD; 24 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Evelyn Parsons, Great Valley, New York, Beverly Fuller, Killbuck, New York, Nancy Milspaw, Jamestown, New York; a brother, Fred (Jerry) Burlin, Utica, New York; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by 2 sons, Craig A. Burlin, Curt C. Burlin, 2 sisters, Carol DePonceau and Cora Emborsky.

Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Saturday from 4 – 7 P.M. at which time funeral and committal services will be held with Pastor Tim Griffith of the First Baptist Church officiating.

Full military honors will be conducted by members of the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post #535 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars John F. Ahrens Post #5296.
