Robert Harrison Sr.

Robert W. Harrison Sr., age 86, of Hardscrabble Road, Killbuck, New York died in his home, Monday, April 12, 2010 after a lengthy illness.

Born on January 7, 1924 in Salamanca, New York he was the son of the late Victor and Lila Milholn Harrison. He was married to the late Edith Harrison, who predeceased him on July 31, 1991.

Mr. Harrison was employed as a foreman at Fancher Furniture Company prior to his retirement. He was a member of the former Loyal Order of the Moose #1002, The Holy Cross Athletic Club, the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post # 535. He enjoyed visiting the nursing home, bowling, and line and square dancing.

Surviving are: 2 sons, Robert Harrison Jr., Killbuck, New York, David (Cheryl) Harrison, Jacksonville, North Carolina; a daughter, Susan (Pat Hughes) Harrison of West State Street, Salamanca, NY; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren ; 3 sisters, Thelma Meyers, Killbuck, New York, Dorothy Jacoby, Mutton Hollow Road, Great Valley, New York, Betty Terry, Winston-Salem, North Carolina; a brother, Guy Harrison, Jefferson Street, Salamanca, New York; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 from 10-11 a.m., where funeral and committal services will follow.
