Robert L. Foreman

Mr. Robert L. Foreman, 83, of Klawitter Road, Great Valley, NY died Sunday, March 25, 2018 at the Olean General Hospital.

Born March 29, 1934 in Uniontown, PA, he was the son of the late Vernon and Lela Frum Foreman. He was married on November 30, 1956 at the former St. Patrick’s Rectory, Salamanca, NY to the former Edith Kruse, who survives.

He had been employed as a Locomotive Engineer for Con Rail in Springfield, MA prior to his retirement in 1993 and had been a Fireman and Brakeman with the former Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. He had previously been employed as a Union Carpenter at various times.

Mr. Foreman was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen, Division 63 and a former member of the Salamanca Moose Lodge. He enjoyed his yard and flowers and spending time with his family.

Surviving besides his wife are: four daughters, Linda Locicero, Palmer, MA, Diane (Steven) Betti, West Springfield, MA, Joyce (James) Hiersche, Wilbraham, MA, Patricia Marlow, Ware, MA; three sons, Michael Foreman, Salamanca, NY, Ronald (Dot) Foreman, Belchertown, MA, Mark (Mary Jane) Foreman, Chester, VA; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Carol (Rocco) Percivalle, TX, Eleanor “Jane” Albertson, FL, Bonita “Bonnie” (Norm) Martin, IN; a brother, Vernon “Bud” (Lydia) Foreman, Uniontown, PA; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by three sisters, Mary Kahl, Elizabeth “Bets” Girard, Geraldine “Gerri” Foreman, two brothers, Bernard “Glenn” Foreman, Thomas Foreman, and an infant daughter, Lorraine Foreman.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.

Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley, NY.
