Robert Lockwood
Mr. Robert Lockwood, 73, of Salamanca, NY, died May 25, 2019 at Buffalo General Hospital following a long illness.
Born March 31, 1946 in Franklinville, NY, he was the son of the late William and Anna Kazanjian Lockwood. He was married August 17, 1985 in Salamanca, NY, to the former Julie Quattrone, who survives.
Mr. Lockwood was a graduate of Ellicottville High School, Class of 1964.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving as a communication specialist during the Vietnam Conflict.
Mr. Lockwood had been employed as a meat cutter in various supermarkets throughout the Southern Tier, retiring from Save-A-Lot in Salamanca in 2009. After his retirement he worked at the Seneca Allegany Casino.
He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and taking long walks. He loved to drive his Jeep, liked woodworking, and was an avid baker and canner.
Mr., Lockwood was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars John F. Ahrens Post 5296 and a charter member of the Humphrey Volunteer Fire Company.
Surviving besides his wife are: a daughter, Jennifer Space, VA; two sons, William and Robert Lockwood, both of Salamanca, NY; a granddaughter, Allyssa Space, VA; three grandsons, Tyler Space, VA, Ryan and Collin Perry, MD; a brother, John (Sandy) Lockwood, Humphrey, NY; a sister, Sue (Michael) Washington, Allegany, NY; cousin and close friend, Thomas Kazanjian; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Laurel Perry.
There will be no visitation. Private services were held by the immediate family.
