Rosa M. Chapman

Rosa M. Chapman, 70, of Salamanca, NY, died Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Olean General Hospital following a long illness.

Born October 24, 1952 in Salamanca, NY, she was the daughter of the late Chauncey and Ivaline Allen Brace.

She attended Salamanca High School.

Rosa had been employed in food service with Seneca Gaming & Entertainment, Salamanca, NY for over 10 years. She had also worked at Bush Industries, Little Valley, NY, and the former Salamanca Nursing Home.

She enjoyed collecting coins, playing Bingo, and going to the casino.

Surviving are: a daughter, Tammy (Greg) Hartman, Port Charlotte, FL; a son, Gary (Colleen Tabak) Chapman Jr., Salamanca, NY three granddaughters, Brittany Chapman, Mexico, NY, Taylor Hartman, Port Charlotte, FL, Keagan Chapman, Little Valley, NY; two grandsons, Brendon Chapman, Salamanca, NY, Ethan Chapman, Franklinville, NY; six sisters, Florence Maupin, Lavina Brace, both of Salamanca, NY, Grace (James) Williams, Athens, TN, Connie Brace, Indianapolis, IN, Ivaline Heffner, Tressa (Delos) Giles, both of Mansfield, PA; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Amanda Tice, Cora Boutwell, seven brothers, Chauncey, George, Cleo, Laverne, Jesse, Stanley, and Bernard Brace.

Memorial visitation will be held in the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Friday, January 13, 2023 from 12 – 2pm at which time a memorial service will be held with Pastor Eric Hice, of Center Street Baptist Church, officiating.
