Rose F. Mohr

Rose Frances Mohr, age 87, of Front Avenue, Salamanca, NY died Monday, March 5, 2012 at Olean General Hospital, Olean, New York.

Born on September 9, 1924 in Perrysburg, NY she was the daughter of the late Valerie & Mary Bitka Badurek. She was married on April 12, 1946 at St. Joseph's Church in Gowanda, NY to Mr. Edward Mohr who survives.

Mrs. Mohr was a graduate of Gowanda High School.

She was employed in the Deli at Parkview Supermarket, the former Ted's Bakery, as a beautician at Halstead's, and at Bell Aircraft during WWII.

Mrs. Mohr was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish, it's Altar & Rosary Society, a past member of the Salamanca Volunteer Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid knitter well known for making sweaters for area children.

Surviving besides her husband are: a daughter, Sharon Bailey, Olean, NNY; a son, James Mohr, Bullhead City, AR; 3 grandchildren, Lisa (Corey) Scnell, Downingtown, PA, Jason (Tracy) Bailey, Thompson Station, TN, David Mohr, Little Valley, NY; a great granddaughter, Addison Bailey, Thompson Station, TN; a sister, Sophia Badurek, Perrysburg, NY; several nieces .

Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Thursday morning from 10:30 – 11:00 A.M.

A Prayer Service will be held in the funeral home at 11:30 A.M. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 P.M. noon in Our Lady of Peace Parish with Rev. Patrick Melfi, pastor, as celebrant.

Burial will be in Crawford Cemetery, Salamanca, NY.
