Sandra L. Matecki

Sandra L. Matecki, 70, of Salamanca, NY died Friday (September 2, 2016) in Erie PA.

Born June 6, 1946 in Olean, NY, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Dorothy Miller Kowalski. She was married on June 4, 1966 to Ronald Rolfe and later married, to Mr. Robert Matecki on September 8, 1979 who survives.

She was a 1964 graduate of Salamanca, High School and 1975 graduate of the Registered Nursing Program at Alfred State University.

Sandra had been employed as assistant director of Nursing at the former Salamanca Nursing Home prior to her retirement.

She was a member of the Nurses Guild, where she served as Vice-president in 1985, the Garden Club, and enjoyed her dogs, gardening and QVC.

Surviving besides her husband are a son Michael (Tracy) Rolfe, Cattaraugus, NY , three granddaughters , Colleen (Ethan) Green, Cattaraugus, NY, Brittany Rolfe, Jamestown, NY, Tiffany Rolfe, Randolph NY two great-grandchildren Ethan John Green II, Logan Green, both of Cattaraugus, a brother Douglas (Cynthia) Kowalski, Little Valley, NY, a niece, a nephew and a cousin Daniel (Mary Fran) Kowalski, Clarence, NY

In honoring Sandra’s request private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be in Crawford Cemetery, Salamanca, NY
