Sandra L. Jackson

Sandra L. Jackson, 75, of Salamanca, NY, died Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Olean General Hospital following a long illness.

Born February 9, 1947 in Hornell, NY, she was the daughter of the late Burtis R. and Gertrude Barnes Carpenter.

She was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1965.

Sandra had been employed with the Seneca Allegany Casino, the former AVM Signore, Ellicottville, NY, and as a secretary with former Terra Publishing, Salamanca, NY.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, the outdoors, camping, and vacationing in Cape Hatteras, NC. She was also an avid Buffalo Bills fan.

Surviving are: a daughter, Dawn Marie Ott, WA; a son, Timothy (Nancy) Jackson Jr., Buffalo, NY; a brother, Burt (Darlene) Carpenter, Salamanca, NY; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Kathleen Peters and Anne Marie Ervin.

There will be no visitation.

A Celebration of Life and luncheon will be held at 4250 North State Street, Salamanca, NY (the large gray building on the hill) on Saturday, September 3, 2022 from 1 – 4pm. Those wishing to attend, please call Tim Jackson at (716) 945-2541.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be sent to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, 665 Elm St, Buffalo, NY 14203.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
