Sandra Maybee

Mrs. Sandra M. Maybee, 74, of Jimersontown, NY died late Saturday morning, December 9, 2017 at the Bradford Regional Medical Center, following a long illness.

Born August 12, 1943 in Olean, NY, she was the daughter of the late Beulah Taylor and Leonard Redeye Sr. She was married to Merwin Maybee, who survives.

She was a member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and the Bear Clan. She was also a member of God’s Missionary Church in Jimersontown and the AOA Elders Center, where she enjoyed crafts.

She attended Salamanca High School.

Sandra enjoyed spending time with her family and her neighbors, the Dan Raber family. She liked cooking and will be remembered for Sunday dinners with her family.

Surviving besides her husband are: a daughter, Roberta (Douglas) Redeye, Salamanca, NY; a granddaughter, Zoey Redeye, Salamanca, NY; two sisters, Bonnie Taylor, Jimersontown, NY and Mary Lou Stidd, Mt. Jewett, PA; two brothers, Donald (Norma) Taylor, Jimersontown, NY, Dr. Robert (Delita) Robinson, SC; several nieces, nephews, great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Ronald Taylor and LaVern Redeye.

Friends may call at the family home, 3525 West Loop, Jimersontown, beginning Tuesday after 1 p.m. and continuing all day Wednesday.

Funeral services will be held Thursday in the God’s Missionary Church at 10 a.m. with Rev. John Walters officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.

Burial will be in Memorial Heights Cemetery, Jimersontown, NY.
