Sherry Nordlund

Mrs. Sherry L. Nordlund, age 68, of Salamanca, NY, formerly of Greenhurst, NY died on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Olean General Hospital, Olean, NY.

Born on November 20, 1949 in Jamestown, NY she was the daughter of the late Ferdinand Michielson and Norma Brooks Michielson Emborsky. She was married on March 1, 1969 to Mr. Gordon Nordlund Jr. who survives.

Mrs. Nordlund had been employed as a cook at Greenhurst Nursing Home, Greenhurst, NY.

Surviving besides her husband are: 3 sons, Scott (April) Nordlund, Bitterford, Maine, Shawn (Tracie) Nordlund, Mayville, NY, David Nordlund, Pittsburgh, PA; 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; a brother, Jim Michielson, Knoxville, TN; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Boni Hazzard and her step father, Edward Emborsky.

Memorial visitation will be held at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
