Shirley Bullock Brown
Mrs. Shirley A. Bullock Brown, age 74, of 559 East State Street, Salamanca, New York died Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at her home following a short illness.
Born on February 17, 1934 in Marshburg, Pa. she was the daughter of the late Delbert and Shirley Belser Bullock. She was married on May 30, 1959 to Mr. George Brown who survives.
Mrs. Brown graduated from Bradford High School in 1952.
She was employed at Eschrik's Dairy Bar, Sweenley's Drug Store, and Zippo Manufacturing in Bradford, Pa.
Mrs. Brown was an avid roller skater, she loved to knit, do word search puzzles, and she enjoyed music. She was devoted to her family and friends. She was known as "Ma Brown" to all.
Surviving besides her husband are: 3 daughters, Margo Washburn, Salamanca, New York, Lisa (James) Kinney, Bradford, Pa., Debbie Pierce, Little Valley, NY; 2 sons, Gregg Washburn, Salamanca, New York, Christopher (Colleena) Brown, Little Valley, NY; 17 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Brooke Ann Pierce, a brother, James Bullock, and a son-in-law, Richard Pierce.
Friends may call on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 -9 P.M. at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.
Funeral and commital services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 12:00 P.M. noon with Pastor Michael Peters, of the Koinonia Christian Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.
