Stanley Sipko
Mr. Stanley Sipko, age 94, of Lincoln Avenue, Salamanca, New York and North Ft. Myers, Fla. died late Saturday morning at Olean General Hospital following a long illness.
Born on July 4, 1912 in Salamanca, New York he was the son of the late Alexander and Katherine Rudnick Sipko. He was married on April 26, 1943 in Holy Cross Church to the former Ann (Anastasia) Polasik.
Mr. Sipko retired as Railroad Conductor in 1974 after 42 years with Conrail and the former Erie Railroad.
He was a member of Holy Cross Church, Holy Cross Ushers Society, Holy Cross Club, United Transportation Union, Elkdale Country Club, North Fort Myers Senior Citizens Bowling League, and he was an avid golfer and bowler.
Survivng besides his wife are: 1 daughter, Margaret (Peter) Bowen, Little Valley, New York; 1 son, Jack Sipko, 48 Lincoln Avenue, Salamanca, New York; 3 grandchildren; 1 sister, Helen (George) Ledden Roanoke, VA.; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Bernard Sipko, John Sipko; 2 sisters, Stella Sipko and Josephine Oelkrue.
There will be no visitation.
Friends may attend a Memorial Mass in Holy Cross Church on Wednesday morning at 11:00 A.M.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.
