Teddy D. Doner Sr.
Mr. Teddy D. Doner, Sr., age 73, of Newton Street, Salamanca, New York, died Friday (February 22, 2013) at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Buffalo, New York following a long battle with cancer.
Born February 12, 1940 in Salamanca, New York, he was the son of the late Theodore and Coralyn Harold Doner. He was married on April 19, 1975 to the former Susan Drumsta, who survives.
Mr. Doner was a veteran of the United States Army stationed in Korea for five years.
He was employed as a welder at the former Signores in Ellicottville, New York prior to his retirement.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Teddy D. Doner Jr. of Salamanca, NY, Thomas D. Doner, Salamanca, NY; two daughters, Malynda S. Doner, Randolph, NY, Melissa D. Parmenter, Little Valley, NY; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three brothers, John "Lynn" Doner, Salamanca, NY, Clair "Buzz" Doner, Killbuck NY, Walter (Margo) Doner, Steamburg, NY; one sister, Rae Elaine "Suzie" (Jerry) Brol, Livona Center, NY; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York, on Tuesday from 4-7 pm.
Funeral and committal services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 1:00 pm with Pastor Chip Cleland, of the Open Bible Tabernacle, Centerville, PA, officiating.
Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.
Full Military Honors will be performed by members of the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post #535 and Veterans of Foreign Wars John F. Ahrens Post #5296.
