Mrs. Theresa Gengo, age 94, of 60 Lexington Ave. Salamanca, New York died February 5, 2009 at The Pines in Olean, New York.

Mrs. Theresa Gengo, age 94, of 60 Lexington Ave. Salamanca, New York died Thursday evening February 5, 2009 at The Pines in Olean, New York.

Born on April 11, 1913 in Salamanca, New York she was the daughter of the late John Sukoviak.

She was married to the late Joseph Gengo who predeceased her February 12, 1998. Mrs. Gengo was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, a 40 year member of the Catholic Daughters, charter member of the Women of the Moose Chaper #96, and she was a volunteer for the former Salamanca District Hospital Auxiliary.

Surviving are: 1 son, Mr. Thomas (Roseann) Gengo, Folley, Alabama; 2 daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Camille) “Chickie” Seitz, 45 Lexington Avenue, Salamanca, New York, Mrs. Gregory (Ann Louise) Foster, Anaheim, California; 17 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by 1 sister, Edna Gambone

There will be no visitation.

A Memorial Mass will be held at the convenience of the family, and will be announced.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.
