Thomas Barhite

Thomas Barhite, 75, of Salamanca, NY, died on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Olean General Hospital following a long illness.

Born April 17, 1948 in Salamanca, NY, he was the son of the late Herbert and Norma Rockwell Barhite.

He was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1968.

Thomas had been employed throughout the years with Bush Industries, doing security at the Olean Center Mall, Holiday Valley, Allegany State Park, and the former Fancher Furniture Company.

He enjoyed spending time with his great-niece when she was younger, loved listening to music, attending rock concerts, and followed professional baseball and football.

Surviving are: a sister, Grace (Robert) Taylor, Newark, NY; a niece; two nephews.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Norma Jean Dickinson and Faye Prusinowski.

Memorial Visitation will be held at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 4 – 6pm at which time services will be held.
