Thomas R. Siafakas

Thomas R. Siafakas, 88, of Kill Buck, NY died early Thursday morning, November 21, 2024 at the Pines of Olean following a long illness.

Born June 18, 1936 in Salamanca, NY, he was the son of the late Themistocles and Mary Nolan Siafakas.

He was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1954 and earned his Associate’s Degree in electronics from Alfred State College.

Tom was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1957 – 1959 and was stationed in Greenland.

He had been employed as an Electrician with Agway for over 17 years and had previously worked at the former Loblaws in Salamanca.

He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and fishing, and was a HAM radio operator for many years.

Surviving are: a brother, Richard Siafakas, Kill Buck, NY; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers, George Siafakas and John Siafakas, and two sisters, Jennie Schine and Alameta Bergamon.

There will be no visitation.

A graveside memorial service will be held at Green Cemetery at the convenience of the family and will be announced.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
