Virginia Hager

Mrs. Virginia Hager, age 83, of McSherrystown, PA, formerly of Wildwood Avenue, Salamanca, NY, Hanover, PA, and Rotunda West, FL died on January 3, 2018 while visiting family.

Born June 29, 1934 in Salamanca, NY, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Frances La Cour Harvey. She was married on July 24, 1954 to Mr. Jack Hager, who predeceased her on November 16, 2010.

Mrs. Hager was a member of the BPO Lodge and the Loyal Order of the Moose in Englewood, FL.

Surviving are: 4 sons, Mr. Jack (Nyra) Hager, Swansboro, NC, Jud (Karin) Hager, Cuba, NY, Joel (Lori) Hager, Abbottstown, PA, Jay (Pam) Hager, Sartell, MN; 2 daughters, Jill (Robert) Curry, Hanover, PA, Joy Anne Hager, East Berlin, PA; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by 2 sisters, Cora Cornelius, Martha Pavia, and a brother, James Harvey.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the New Hope Community Church, 33 Sunday Drive, Hanover, PA with Pastor Jeffrey Reaver officiating.

Burial will be in Crawford Cemetery, Salamanca, NY in the Spring.

Local funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
