Wayne "Bud" Fisher
Mr. Wayne “Bud” Fisher, of Salamanca, New York died Sunday, August 3, 2014 at the Pines in Machias, New York following a long illness.
Born March 17, 1932 in Salamanca, New York he was the son of the late George and Helen Drew Fisher. He was married on July 27, 1954 to the former Jean Brahaney, who survives.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Fisher was a boss at the former Signore’s in Ellicottville, New York for 25 years, prior to his retirement. Previously, he had been employed as a logger, and at the former Tabletop in Salamanca, the former Hartman’s Machine Shop in Salamanca, and the former Cowley Machine Shop in Little Valley.
He enjoyed bowling, baseball, and working in his garden.
Surviving besides his wife are: 1 son, Michael (Susan) Fisher, Little Valley, NY; 2 daughters, Deborah Osborne, Salamanca, NY, Suzi Fisher, Great Valley, NY; 8 grandchildren, Jeffrey (Ann) Osborne, CA, Michael (Becca) Osborne, VA, Kat (Rory) Flinn, Brooklyn, NY, Marty (Marian) Fisher, Clarion, PA, Karley Brooks, Ices Decker, Ila Decker, all of Great Valley, NY, Jason Hostuttler, Buffalo, NY; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son, Allen Fisher, and 3 brothers, Herbert Fisher, Lee Fisher, and Keith Fisher.
Memorial visitation will be held at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Friday, August 8, 2014 from 10 am – 11 am at which time a memorial service will be held with Rev. Patrick Melfi, pastor of Our Lady of Peace, officiating. Followed by military services conducted by the member of the American Legion VFW in the funeral home.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.
