William D. "Bill" Kindt

Mr. William D. "Bill" Kindt, age 66, of 140 West Avenue, Salamanca, New York died unexpectdly Thursday morning, April 19, 2007 at the Bradford Reginal Medical Center, Bradford, PA.

Bron Decemeber 16, 1940 in Winner, SD, he was the son of the late William and Beulah Estes Kindt. He was married on Febuary 7, 1964 in Winner MD to the former Brenda Jimerson who survives.

Mr. Kindt was employed by Always Trucking, Fredonia, NY, Zumstein & Schneider Trucking. He managed Seneca One Stop, Crowley Machine Shop, a manager at Luminite and a manager of Seneca Hawk. He was also employed by the Seneca Nation of Indians Allegany Indian Reservation Health Center as an Alcohol Abuse Counselor and Alcoholics Anonymous Sponsor.

Bill dedicated his life to helping others in both his professional and personal life. He worked as a volunteer fireman and ambulance crew member for Hot Springs, South Dakota, Allegany Indian Reservation Volunteer Fire Department, Salamanca City Ambulance as an EMT III. He was a First Aide and CPR Instructor for the American Red Cross for many years.

He was an enrolled member of the Rose Bud Sioux Tribe and the AIRVFD where he had served as 1st Assistant Chief, Treasurer and Ambulance Captain.

Surviving besides his wife of 42 years are: 7 children, Connie Greene, Killbuck, New York, Leon (Mona) Kindt, Jamestown, New York, Wesley Kindt, Erie, PA, Dawn (Scott) Kindt, 140 West Ave. Salamanca, NY, Annette (Darren Boon) Kindt, Front Ave, Salamanca, NY, Edward Kindt, Sonyea, NY, Charles Green, Steamburg, NY; 12 grandchildren, Alexandrea Kindt, Isaac Boone, William Boone, all of Front Ave, Salamanca, NY, Brittany Kindt, Josh Koleta, Jayden Storey, all of Salamanca, NY, David Greene, West Ave, Salamanca, NY, Carlie Greene, Tande Greene all of Killbuck, NY, Alicia Kindt, Edgemore, S.C., Kyler Crowe, Wildwood Ave, Salamanca, NY Katie Kindt, Jimersontown, NY, many foster children as well as kinship, Tracy (Chimo) Milan, Ashville, NY, Jackie Crowe, Wildwood Ave, Salamanca, NY, Georgina Ariare, Elizabeth Larvie, both of Jimersontown, NY; a sister Shirley (Lestor) Phipps, Portland, Oregon; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the home Annette Kindt, 827 Front Ave, Salamanca, New York on Friday evening after 7:00 P.M., all day Saturday and Sunday.

Fuenral services will be held on Monday morning at 10:00 A.M. in the Immanuel Missonary Church with Pastor Brandon Crouse officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Heights Cemetery, Jimersontown, New York.
