William J. Swift

William J. “Swifty” Swift, 62, of Salamanca, NY, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at home.

Born March 3, 1964 in Olean, NY, he was the son of the late Stanley Sr. and Cynthia McDonald Swift.

He attended Salamanca High School.

Bill was a mechanic for over thirty years. He was a member of several dart and pool leagues in the area.

Surviving are: his lifelong companion, Debbie West, Salamanca, NY; James West, the son of Debbie; three sisters, Sharon Woodworth, Allegany, NY, Tammy (Dennis) Davies, Great Valley, NY, Tina Brown, Olean, NY; three brothers, Steve Little, Stan Swift Jr., both of Salamanca, NY, Robert Swift, Olean, NY; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews.

He was predeceased by three brothers, David Little, Kenny Little, and Randy Swift.

A memorial will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 from 1pm-7pm, at the American Legion, Hughes-Skiba Post 535, 67 Wildwood Ave, Salamanca, NY.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River St. Salamanca, NY.
